CEO DATELINE - Plastic recycling group acquires publisher and events organizer

The Association of Plastic Recyclers has acquired Resource Recycling, a publication and conference management firm serving the recycling industry, the group announced Wednesday.
In a statement, APR the purchase will help the group bolster its ability to connect and communicate with a wide range of recycling stakeholders. Terms of the deal were not announced.
"APR has had long-term respect for Resource Recycling's industry voice," APR CEO Steve Alexander said. "APR's goal is to grow recycling and having a widely respected publishing and conference management arm helps accomplish this important purpose."
Resource Recycling publishes the titles Resource Recycling, Plastics Recycling Update and E-Scrap News. It also produces three annual events: the Resource Recycling Conference and Trade Show, Plastics Recycling Conference and Trade Show, and E-Scrap Conference and Trade Show.
All publications and conferences will be managed and operated by current Resource Recycling staff in Portland, Ore. APR is based on Washington, D.C. http://bit.ly/2UlFCu8
